Advance Health Care Directive for young Adults/Teens

Did you know that once your child turns 18, they are considered an adult and parents can no longer make health care decisions? This means that parents will no longer be given medical information, even if their child has been in an accident or taken to the emergency room. Therefore, it is important for a parent to have their teen sign an Advance Health Care Directive so that parents can remain involved in the health care of their child. This is especially true when a child goes away to college.
